I’ve been reading the reviews for this album and I have to say I think it’s amazing how many people think that this album is good. I think it is the worst album by far. It sounds like Kamelot was so eager to get the attention of teeny goths that they forgot their true fans. This album is so disappointing that it makes me sad. It’s not “Kamelot” and that’s the whole reason that we buy their cd’s. It’s okay to sound different, but this kind of different is NOT good. If you are interested in power metal check out any of Kamelot’s albums BUT this one.

This is such a change for kamelot, and usually i love when bands change, see my review for Sonata Arctica’s Unia but this is very weird….i can’t even describe the album….i love the first song, not the intro so i guess track number 2 and a couple others but overall its def the worst Kamelot album in a long time…

After contless spins I come to the conclusion that Kamelot is getting too tied up with the evilness of commercialism.Karma was hungry.Epica was hungry and Black Halo was starving ,but Ghost Opera we have a musical overdose of mediocre satisfaction. The same as with Symphony X’s cd,they have kicked back and watched success get great while forgetting that creativity is the business of progressive music. Many raters feel that ths cd is great,I feel that it’s just good and very commercial. Many songs could be played on the radio, and that’s not exactly good.

Now I caution those people who get easily offended and start posting hateful things to people who speak their opinions, don’t waste your time.Accept the free minds of others. My desire is that ,I am hopeful Kamelot returns to form, but I seriously doubt it;commercialism is creativity’s greatest evil and an ironic counter-production.

I have heard sooooooo many things about Kamelot, and most of them were good. Most power metal bands’ latest albums are usually never the best place to start and that’s where I think I went wrong here.

I really was not expecting much to begin with, and even then, I was disappointed. Not too many catchy choruses or memorable solos or anything… The album just doesn’t stick out among many other power metal albums. Uhh, there’s really not much else to say. I want to get more into Kamelot. To anyone else, this is not a good place to start in their discography.
